Tenable launches security platform to help companies protect AI systems

Tenable announced general availability of Tenable One AI Exposure on January 27, 2026. The capability extends the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform to cover the AI attack surface and the "AI Exposure Gap" across applications, infrastructure, identities, agents, and data. It unifies AI discovery, protection, and usage governance in a single platform.

Tenable One AI Exposure continuously discovers sanctioned and shadow AI across internal, cloud, and external environments, including applications, workloads, APIs, and agents. The solution correlates AI usage with infrastructure, identities, and data flows to map attack paths, prioritize risks by business impact, and reduce noise. Security teams can remediate misconfigurations, close exposed services, enforce acceptable-use policies, detect threats such as prompt injection, and produce audit-ready evidence.

The capability integrates with the existing Tenable One platform and supports ingestion of third-party telemetry. Tenable, named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Exposure Assessment Platforms and the "company to beat for AI-Powered Exposure Assessment," serves approximately 44,000 customers worldwide.
